Cinema at the Cité du Cinéma

The Cité du Cinéma is located on the site of a power plant dating back to the 1900s, occupying a 16 acre real estate along the banks of the river Seine.

In 2010, renowned film director Luc Besson came up with the idea of transforming the site of this abandoned power plant into a Hollywood-style audiovisual shooting facility, known as "Les Studios de Paris".

In 2012, Studios de Paris became the largest audiovisual shooting complex in France. It includes 9 state-of-the-art film sets, ranging in size from 6000 sq ft to 22.000 sq ft, as well as extensive office space, workshops, storage, dressing rooms, green rooms and parking lots.

Since 2022, Studios de Paris was acquired by Eagle Pictures, Italy's largest independent distributor of films and TV series, and Lantern IRA Paris Holdings, an international audiovisual investment group.
