Tarak Ben Ammar and Studios de Paris announce the appointment of their new president: Pierre LESCURE

Since their creation in 2012 by Luc Besson, Studios de Paris has continued to grow and strengthen its appeal, hosting some of the decade's most iconic and prestigious productions( Luc Besson'sValérian, Éric Rochant's Le Bureau des Légendes, Jean-Jacques Annaud's Notre-Dame Brûle, Pablo Larraín's Jackie, Robert Zemekis' The Last Mrs Parrish, Cathy Yan's The Gallerist, John Woo's The Killer , and series such as Apple TV's The New Look, Netflix's Murder Mystery 2, AMC's The Walking Dead , AMS's Daryl Dixon and Netflix's Emily in Paris . In 2022, Studios de Paris reached a turning point when it was acquired by the group led by Tarak Ben Ammar, international producer and founding member of the studios. Under his impetus, Studios de Paris embarked on a new phase of expansion, confirmed by a record year in 2022 during which the 9500 m2 of sets were 100% occupied confirmed in 2023 until the arrival of the 2024 Olympic Games.

A clear ambition to serve the French and international fil and TV series industry

In taking over the presidency of Studios de Paris, Pierre Lescure is pursuing a clear and collective ambition: to establish Studios de Paris as a key location for European film and audiovisual production, a showcase for French know-how and a privileged location for major French and international productions. Under his presidency, Studios de Paris also aims to establish itself not only as an excellent film production facility, but also as a symbol of a France that is attached to its history, believes in its cinema and supports its artists and talents, but is also and above all profoundly open to the world.

Co-founder and Chairman and CEO of Canal+ (1984-2002), former President of the Cannes Film Festival (2014-2022) and former head of Universal Studios in Los Angeles, Pierre Lescure has been one of the most emblematic figures of cinema and television, both in France and internationally, for over forty years.

His arrival as President of Studios de Paris, alongside Brigitte Segal's appointment as CEO, opens a new chapter in the history of Studios de Paris, a unique infrastructure located on Paris' doorsteps and a showcase for French know-how.
With 102.000 sq ft of film sets, including the largest set in France (22,000 sq ft), and over 150,000 sq ft of workshops, offices and dressing rooms, Studios de Paris offers a fully integrated production chain, from set design to set construction, to film shoot to post-production.
